David M. Mead
Working in New York Theater since 1981, David has amassed a lengthy resume. He has worked for or with EST, Playwrights Horizons, The John Houseman Theater, Musical Theatre Works and the Century Theater Company. He has been seen in major productions at the Intar, South Street, the Samuel Becket and Public Theater Annex. He has been regular at the Inwood Festival here in New York and has toured Nationaly with THE GREAT AMERCIAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL. Most recently at the WorkShop, he performed in TARTUFFE, a new translation by Paul Wiedner which was directed by Charles E. Gerber and in LANGUAGE OF LOVE by Robert Ost. And in 2007 right here on our mainstage, David played the Thane in Shakespeare's MACBETH to critical acclaim. David has also directed for the WorksShop such productions as THE SILVER FOX by Donna de Matteo, SUNDAY AFTERNOON by Frank Hertle and G.B.Shaw's SAINT JOAN. As a writer, David has been produced here at the WorkShop with NIYA TEY SOUNG; GREEN STAR,GOLD STAR and ON THE ADVICE OF AN OLD FRIEND. David is currently working on a new full length play, ARMY ROYALTY.
